Despite its airport location, diners like Buren commend the staff for their patience and efficient service, even during busy hours. The atmosphere reflects a bustling eatery where multi-tasking staff manage orders and cleanliness promptly.
Reviewers frequently rave about the generous portions and flavorful offerings. Tan TM highlighted the black chicken (ayam kicap) as a particular favorite, best enjoyed with "Kuah Banjir," evoking a satisfying culinary experience. Overall, this restaurant is recommended for those seeking a flavorful fix before their flights.

Reviews for Nasi Kandar Line Clear
Review highlights
Based on 235 reviewsNasi Kandar Line Clear at Penang International Airport is generally praised for delivering authentic flavors reminiscent of the original Penang experience, particularly noted for standout dishes like ayam kicap and kuah banjir. Customers appreciate the attentive and patient service, even during busy periods, though occasional delays in table clearing have been observed due to multitasking staff. The location commands a premium price, especially for items like fresh coconut water, which some find costly but acceptable given the airport setting. While true enthusiasts may prefer the original outlet for a more traditional ambiance and value, the airport branch provides a convenient and satisfying option for travelers seeking a quick and flavorful nasi kandar meal.
Not sure about others' low rating. I personally had decent experience here, and a witness of how patient the staff was. Two diners in front of me asked the staff to change the meat piece and they complied without having an attitude, which says a lot as I had experience rude service elsewhere before. Our table was dirty as the staff had not gotten to it, but they are multi-tasking. One serving the food cleared the table later, exchanging spots with his colleague, the cashier would sometimes cleared the table as well. They were all friendly and efficient enough. Food wise, two plates of rice with two coffee cost us 50MYR++. I think it's still reasonable enough for airport price. If you need to eat and in a hurry, this is a decent choice. The food itself, I am not a fan of nasi kandar, but they are edible and the portions are generous.
I was so so happy to see Nasi Kandar Line Clear at the Penang Airport as I didn’t get a chance to eat any Nasi Kandar in Penang. Love it although the purist will likely say the original Line Clear in the alleyway is still the best. I like almost everything but my absolute favourite is the black chicken (ayam kicap) which must be eaten with “Kuah Banjir”. Left a satisfied smile on my face. Delicious but not cheap. Two plates of rice with fried chicken, black chicken, mutton, bendih and axar. Total = RM60!
Air kelapa was sooooooo delicious, sweet and refreshing! Coconut meat was soft and easy to scoop. Maybe today is my lucky day. But the price is expensive. RM12.60 for 1 fresh coconut water. Understandable since it is in airport
Almost missed my Nasi Kandar fix this trip so decided to go here before taking off. Knew it wld b pricey, but in terms of getting my fix, didn't disappoint! Got my basic Nasi Kandar separuh, Ikan Tenggiri & Bindi plus air suam! RM16.30.. avoided the drinks surprise & forgoed telur masin Better go to town to get proper, but ambience & food for my case.. can't fault!
